Match Party Party’s linen inventory to common round, banquet, cocktail and card tables.
Start With the Drop
Lap Length, Near Floor or Floor Length?
“Drop” is how far the linen hangs from the tabletop. To calculate it, subtract the table size from the linen size and divide by two. A 120-inch round on a 60-inch round table has a 30-inch drop: (120 − 60) ÷ 2 = 30.
Lap Length
Usually a 12–18-inch drop. Practical for casual dining and seated events.
Near Floor
Usually a 21–27-inch drop. A fuller look with a little clearance from the floor.
Floor Length
A 30-inch drop on a standard 30-inch-high table. Best for a formal, finished look.
Important: floor-length matches below assume a 30-inch-high table. Cocktail tables and specialty tables may require a different size or styling method.

38″ × 38″ Card Table
54×54 gives an 8-inch drop, 72×72 gives 17 inches, and 90×90 gives 26 inches.

What if I want a linen between lap length and floor length?
Choose the nearest larger stock size and compare the calculated drop. For example, a 108-inch round on a 60-inch table gives a 24-inch drop—close to the floor without touching it.
Can I use a linen that is slightly longer than floor length?
Yes, but a puddled linen can be a trip or snag concern in high-traffic areas. Tell us where the table will be used so we can recommend the safest finished look.
Do color and fabric affect the size?
